Check this: new off-Broadway musical about Fela. Directed by Bill T. Jones. And with members of Antibalas in the band. According to the article, it's only scheduled for a short run in Sept. Hmm... might be another road trip in the works...
Playlist update: my show from last Thursday is now entered in the online playlister (the "i am what i play" link over on the left there). I had an under-caffeinated moment and forgot to log in, so the whole show got entered under the 6am DJ's login. Doh!
Artcar update: as in, hey, I saw an artcar driving around Durm today. Unfortunately, I was in the far right hand lane and they were in the far left lane heading in the opposite direction so I only got a quick glimpse. It appeared to be painted and with a pretty complicated design but that's all I got so far.
