the occasional cow on a motorway bridge

Just wanted to add my late in the game plug for Toast in beautiful downtown Durm. We had lunch there yesterday after trekking out to the Raleigh Farmer's Market. And damn was that some good eating. Sarah had the soppressata panino and I had one w/ egg, tallegio & chive. There was also some nice ricotta involved as well. Which I consider a positive addition, since a little tallegio can go a long way. But this was just the right mix of mild cheese & funky cheese w/ scrambled egg. So good. After I'd ordered I noticed that the special crostini was one w/ house-cured lardo. Didn't want to fill up by adding that onto my order. Hopefully they'll have that again sometime when we go back.
