I've said it before but it bears repeating: you'd best keep your wits about you out there. That way when you're driving home and suddenly find yourself slamming on your brakes not quite in time to keep from rolling into to some car (one that, inexplicably, remains nosed out into your lane as you screech to a half), you'll have a better chance of actually stopping in time to prevent most major damage. Could have been so much worse. Altho (since I was already planning to take my car into the shop tomorrow) I'll only be able to definitively make that statement in about 24 hours. And there was no one behind me. Jeebus, that would have been bad. As it stands now, it's just the end of a very long day. But I'm fine. Lying down and thinking about falling asleep as soon as I'm done posting this.
