Trust all of y'all had a festive eve and a grand start to your 2012. We continued our tradition of Charlie Deal NYE celebratory events. Back to Dos Perros this time -- passed appetizers and buffet and tasty beverages and witty conversation and a fine time was had by all. Way too much rich food and staying up too late -- in other words, a fine way to wrap up the old year and run in the new. Had the mandatory collards for dinner tonight (with the somewhat less mandatory but mighty tasty turkey cutlets cooked in butter chicken sauce). Had been planning to do something with andouille sausage and black-eyed peas but decided to go for something a bit lighter after a week of pretty rich meals.
And now it's almost back-to-work time. Heavy sigh. Altho the holidays aren't really over until the last Xmas cookie is eaten.
