We went to the State Fair on Wednesday. Fun, as always. Here's Sarah's write-up to which I don't have much to add.
In deference to the sensibilities of HoD's New England-based readership I will only mention in passing that the Rays won game 2 last night to even up the Series w/ Phillies. Everyone now decamps to Philly for the next three games which, given the weather report, shouldn't more than a week to get in.
Pizza update: got take-out from Pop's Backdoor last night. The Polpette (meatballs, broccoli rabe, roasted garlic, parm) is very good, altho the b-rabe is kinda hard to eat. The Carolina (shrimp, roasted red peppers, onions, bacon) is outstanding, rocketing right to the top of my faves list.
