that ain't no turtle; that's a trash can

Just found out recently (via VarmintBites) that Bill Smith, the chef at Crook's Corner, in Chapel Hill, has a blog. Crook's was one of the first "nice" restaurants in the Triangle I went to and altho I tend to forget about it in all the buzz and howl over new places, I've never had a bad meal. It's nice to get a look at things from the kitchen side of things. Generally I agree with something I read last year (I think it was by Shuna Fish Lydon at Eggbeater) -- that it's a good thing that more chefs are blogging. I think it helps break down the perceived wall between chefs/cooks and "food bloggers." But mostly I'm just interested in reading what people like Lydon and Smith have to say.
