someday we will all be famous and anonymous

One of the highlights of my four days on N Island this week was a trip to the Net Cost Market. For Durmites, the best description I can give is: "what if Compare was owned by Russians?" Lots of sausages, smoked fish, and heavy, dense breads. Russian chocolates. Moldovan cookies. Polish cheeses. Bialys. Pickled herring. I'm pretty sure the announcements over the PA were in Russian. Signage was definitely bilingual in English and Cyrillic alphabets. And, in the meat dept., one of the sure signs of quality shopping... whole animal heads. In this case, pig's head (Compare has cow's heads instead). Anyway, awesome store. I wonder if the name is any catchier in Russian?
