Last night, we had dinner at Federal. Three words: duck confit poutine. All I can say is, thank Grom it was a special and not on the regular menu. Cos no one should be eating that every week. And if it was on their regular menu, I would. French fries. Cheese curds, Gravy. Duck confit....

Oh, great, I leave and two years later poutine makes it to Durham. Do you have any idea how long I was waiting for this to happen? And not just any poutine. Duck poutine. I guess it's time to dust off the St. Hubert gravy in my cupboard...
What scares me is that poutine IS a regular menu item at Milltown. That's a safe distance off in Carrboro. But there's some sort of ownership relationship between them and the Fed so there's cause for concern that poutine might make its way onto the regular Federal menu.
