teddy johnson & pearl carr won the eurovision song contest in 1959

So I mention my fondness for Olympic biathlon and what happens? Carabinieri are conducting midnight raids on small Alpine villages. Guys are chunking bags full of used syringes out the window. Sketchy ex-coaches are crashing Fiats (or other sporty Eurocars) into police roadblocks. Wacky hijinks indeed. I'd link to the NYTimes story, which sums things up pretty well, but it doesn't seem to want me to. Instead, here's an article from Slate which has an interesting take on the sports anti-doping issue. And check out the biathlon logo. Very hip and retro-cool. Very CQ. (oh those stylish Italian designers...)
