So, here is the radio show I just finished. All hail the glorious playlist software. On a side note, I apparently could do a show in my sleep, since I easily spent as much time tonight thinking about the reporting process as I did about what music to actually play. And I think the show turned out okay (ymmv, of course). Could have played way more Sherwood, but I wanted to stay on top of my PL requirement and all that.

yay!
did you have any trouble using it?
no troubles. it's just a matter of getting used to the process of tracking on the computer, as opposed to tracking on paper.
i find i have more incidences of songs running over to the next song. josh (who is also using it) says that's definitely the effect of the plmanager; i'm not convinced.
1 time last night i had a few seconds of dead air because i'd clicked the PL manager to have the next track appear as the "now playing" track but forgot to actually start the CD player. so to the extent that the DJ is trying to do 2 things at about the same time, i guess there could be a connection between using the PL manager and instances of run-ons/dead air. But I still think it's something that would get better with practice.
one time tonight I tried to type a song into the pl manager, accidently reached for the board instead and while remembering that I can't actually type on the board, knocked the slider up on the track that was playing. I think that was my biggest goof related to the pl manager.
So, in other words, wacky mayhem was ensuing.
indeed.
btw, sorry i didn't play your request. alas, you have over-estimated the quality of the XDU library. which is, actually, pretty good but it can also be easily stumped by a well-informed request.
Hey, Washboard Jungle, Gentle Giant AND heaps of Sherwood in the same playlist? What's to apologize for?
i have this terrible tendency to forget about the "now playing" feature and enter as many as three songs in advance. there goes the element of surprise!
the MD and i caught a bunch of your show wednesday night and loved it!
damn... positive feedback from music AND programming. note to self: whatever you were doing last week, don't do that again. instead play more Dressy Bessy (or "Underwater Moonlight" or MC Hammer or whatever is currently unfashionable)
